About Us

The Aliyah Rizq Farm Story

Aliyah Rizq Farm is a family run business founded in 2015 with a lot of heart and love. It started with a small 2 acres backyard farm which began operating in January 2016 in Mersing with 30 goats and sheep with the intention of providing the service of aqiqah and qurban.

With our flock size having increased to 160 sheep and goat by end 2016 and the increased confidence we had in the work that we do, we embarked on a sheep breeding project in 2017 at Bio Desaru with a sister company ‘Agropreneur Farms Sdn Bhd’ managing the total land space of 25 acres from the initial 2 acres. From the humble beginnings of 100 sheep, we now have more than 300 heads in the farm. Aliyah Rizq Farm has since moved its operations to Bio Desaru.

Being in the industry, we discovered that as a farmer it was often difficult to source for good quality produce as Malaysian farmers can only produce about 5% of the nation’s needs. At this juncture, we had aspirations to venture and expand our wings into Indonesia for supplies of livestock for the purpose of aqiqah, qurban, meat and distribution throughout Malaysia.

Aliyah Rizq Farm began working on the Indonesian project in mid 2018 with its primary focus of being a social enterprise to support low income and less skilled farmers in Indonesia to supply livestock into Malaysia through CV. Asia Global.

By May 2019, Aliyah Rizq Farm managed to empower the company for its pioneer export into Malaysia, bringing in 200 heads of healthy and good quality sheep. This opened pathways for local Malaysian farmers to acquire good quality livestock from a secure and reliable source, legally as compared to the current struggle of the exploit of livestock smuggling via the Thailand borders. To date Aliyah Rizq Farm has exported over 2000 heads to Malaysia.

Our ambitions did not stop there. In June 2019, Aliyah Rizq Farm decided to pursue a ground breaking event held in Angsana Mall, Johor Bahru for Eidul Adha. We imported 250 heads of Indonesian sheep via our sister company, CV. Asia Global, to be quarantined in Sepang’s Animal Quarantine Fascility for 14 days before transporting it to Angsana Mall for the ‘Asnaf Mampu Qurban’ event, where the needy asnafs are able to purchase a sheep for qurban at RM1 only and at the same time set the record for the Most Number of Participation and the Most Number of Sheep slaughtered for Qurban in the Malaysia Book of Records.

At present, Aliyah Rizq Farm is embarking on multiple projects on a national level in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. In Malaysia, we intend to partner with as many livestock farmers for our pilot project across all states with the intention of making livestock easily accessible to customers. This involves inventory, satellite tracking, logistics and back-end IOT technical support.

Simply put, for all the efforts we are embarking on, it’s about bridging the needs of both the farmers and the community through this social enterprise business model.
